This tip may not have anything to do with your classroom, but it will make your life a whole lot easier during the first week back at school. Take some time at the end of summer break to prepare meals for your first week back. Prep your favorite wholesome, tasty dinners and put them in the freezer. When you come home exhausted at the end of the school day, dinner will be ready in a snap. You can also think through and prepare easy breakfast and lunch items too. 2. Prepare Easy, No-Fuss Morning Work
Thereâs no reason why morning work canât start the first week back to school. Get your class into a morning work routine by providing grade-level-appropriate skill review packets. 4. Create Student Folders for Essential Information
This teacher hack is simple but very effective. Stock up on foldersâone for each student in your classâand use them to store essential information about each child. Include key information like IEPs, medical and allergy information, and learning preferences, as you discover more about your students throughout the year. Youâll have the most important facts you need to know about each student in your class right at your fingertips when you need it.
5. Record School Events in Your Teacher Planner
Hereâs a tip that will help you keep your calendar organized all school year long. Print out your schoolâs annual calendar of events and write every significant school event in your lesson plan book. This way you can be sure your own classroom activities donât conflict with school-wide or district-wide events.
